Today is my wedding anniversary. My DH and I have been married for 37 years.
It seems like yesterday we were starting out on this incredible journey. We were both young. Neither one of us knew what we were doing. By the grace of God and the power of love we made it.

Yesterday we celebrated with dinner out.We went to a fun little diner down in Stanley Virginia. They were serving homemade fried chicken with all the fixings. It was delicious. I did feel a little funny eating that chicken. You see on the wall behind our table was a old refinished chicken box with two very realistic hens overlooking the restaurant. Kinda like eating Wilbur in Charlotte's Web.

Tonight I'll make dinner for the two of us. We'll light candles and toast our love with our ice teas. And we'll remember the good stuff.

Looking back, we are lucky. We have had more good times than bad. While neither of us knows which way our journey will take us, we know what we need to do to make it through. We'll just keep on trusting the Lord and loving each other.
